For the first time in history, members of the Memphis Jewish community were able to join Team Rhodes Hillel or Team U of M Hillel to face off during the 13th annual Yiddishe Cup, a virtual game-show of epic proportions.

This year, 40 player pods competed, choosing to represent either Rhodes Hillel or University of Memphis Hillel. Players joined the live trivia event and harnessed their general trivia expertise, winning points for their respective team. This year, the University of Memphis team earned trivia gold and a fun time was had by all.

Special thanks to Prize Sponsor Robert Irwin Jewelers and Media Sponsor The Hebrew Watchman.

Thanks to all sponsors for helping Hillels of Memphis reach Jewish students on college campuses in Memphis!

The Yiddishe Cup serves as the primary community fundraiser for Hillels of Memphis, a program of Memphis Jewish Federation. Proceeds benefit students at University of Memphis and Rhodes College through educational programs, social events, Shabbat meals and much more.

A special message from Ryan Silverfield, head coach of the Univesity of Memphis Tigers Football Team, to Hillel students from both campuses.

Thank you, Jewish Memphis!

Yiddishe Cup was again a victim of COVID-19. Even so, the Memphis Jewish community stepped up with sponsorships to support Hillels of Memphis. Grateful students put together this video after the 2020 event as a message of thanks.
